Well ,saw 3 books on radiology , but this book 'Conceptual review of Radiology' by Dr MAK ,DR Saurabh S P,Dr Amit M S is far far better for pgmee. General Radio is the beat I have ever seen. Everything is explained from the basics so that thete is no need to memorize the thing which can be conceptually understand. Surely will agree with sir ,that radio is not just a factual subject if we understand the concept behind that fact which are explained very well in the book. The systemic part is also good with juat right amount of thing at right place. Mnemonics are totally student friendly! This book should can be also used as a reference while reading surgery medicine or obgyn. People say this book is lengthy , well it is!! But ug students can totally use it and interns amd postinterns I would recommend to atleast go through basic radio part and mnemonics! Also would like to mention about sir's youtube channel. Fine videos are uploaded regularly.

Normal imaging explained first in a lucid way, starts with basic physics of waves and particles, then mechanics of imaging is also explained, very interesting to read. image quality of ct/mri etc is SUPERB. everything required is covered.BUT a bit lengthy for this short subject. however if radiology is a fresh subject for u ,there is no other better option i think. APPROACH IS SYSTEMATIC PLUS AUTHOR HAS HIS OWN YOUTUBE CHANNEL OF RADIOLOGY where regularly new videos r seen. So book with his u tube videos is really a very good combination. Go for it, will be a good choice .

My Views on Radiology book for PGMEE by Dr MAK, Dr Saurabh S P, Dr Amit M S I must say in one line that - This is the best book on radiology that I've ever seen in all these years... Many of my intern/post intern friends where angry saying... Why wasn't this book published earlier in their pre-intern days. They referred shallow books which had minimal exposure to the mechanics of radiology. Pros - general radiology has been explained from scratch. I felt like I was reading physics textbook. It's so so so simplified that even naive mbbs student can get idea. - very very very detailed orientation of the subject. Sometimes it feels like I've been reading a textbook. But believe me it doesn't feel even a slightest burden of cumbersome textbooks. - physics references to explain radiological phenomenon are just awesome. - books is quite interactive. It feels like you've been interacting with the authors. - mnemonic aren't just statement. They are explained!!! Ever seen that? Yeah this book contains that. - no harm in referring this book along with other subjects like Medicine surgery. Illustration are beautifully explained and right from basics. - radiotherapy and radioisotopes which are very very very important are given beautifully. Cons - at some places (like very rarely) photo seems a little skewed. Not a major issue but still a formatting isn't major issue as compared to theory. - book may seem not ideal for post interns (according to my fellow intern friends) but author has beautifully explained why they have why radiology is very important in preface. Overall verdict... For ug - must read... Must must must For intern - should purchase. Use as reference when dealing with major subj. Must mus must refer general and therapeutics For post intern - they should try to accommodate in their schedule.
